this scale has been designed to be a FUN scale. For the look it has and for its technical characteristics, it is not convenient to put this scale into a place with a look that is too serious,like a old style pharmacy. Another important thing to bear in mind is that it SPEAKS and must speak at a reasonable volume if it has to interest and attract people. If the site-owner will reduce the volume or switch voice off, ANTONIA2000 will not make money.
This scale weighs in Kg steps, that is enough for the purpose of amusing people but may not be enough if you are in a location (like a pharmacy or Gym) where you expect people will want their weight with 100 g resolution.
A big advantage of this machine is that it is unusual and attracts people and also youngsters, that usually are not good customers for scales. It jokes saying 'you are very fat!' or 'insert coin or step down the platform, you are hurting me!' and so it is extremely attractive in locations with a lot of people passing in front of it , like tourist resort, bowling alleys etc.

We designed this machine after a marketing research in Fitness Clubs where we realized there is the need of a strong and reliable machine like this. Nowadays most Clubs, where people go to lose weight, actually have no scales at all or if they have it, is a bathroom weighing-machine.
The major problem in a Gym club is that people are willing to see their weight before and after having done some sport, and it is extremely annoying to see a scale that indicates 80.0 Kg when you enter and 80.2 Kg when you have done exercise. A scale must be accurate if people have to use it. It must also be able to calibrate itself automatically with minimum human intervention. This feature has been implemented in it. It has RED vivid 7 segment displays and indicates in Kg as well as Lb or ST and Lb. Whatever comes first can be selected by the operator and the customer has the chance to switch from one system to the other.
The FTS scale is very good for operation in SPAs or POOLs or other humid places because it is powered at low voltage with a separated, professional power supply.
It has a COIN ACCEPTOR addition so it can be used to make money besides offering a service.
It has a HEIGHT METER option, that makes it much more interesting with BMI calculation and display.
As an option, it can be connected to a computer via RS232 port to download measurements data in ASCII format.
